2026 TOP GUN Winners for Homeowner Focused Equipment Rental Operators

Peer Executive Groups has named the winners of its 2026 Homeowner Focused Equipment Rental Top Gun Awards. 

The Top Gun award recognizes equipment rental operators who receive the PEG Pinnacle Award for Financial Excellence. The awards are given to the top 25 percent of rental stores in the network based on financials submitted by rental operators and verified by Peer Executive Groups. This is the eighth year that PEG has named companies for this prestigious award. In order to be elgible , they must report over 30% of sales volume from Homeowners.

“Homeowner focused rental operators have that comfort of busyness and plenty of revenue opportunities with daily, and weekly rental but also retail business in their locations.  We see these operators selling supplementary products but also propane, and diesel.  What these operators give up in EBITDA percentage they make up with volume,” stated Dan Crowley.  “The difference between Top Gun and our average member came down to Personnel Expense management.  Our median member spent 33 cents of every dollar on people, whereas our Top Gun Homeowner’s came in below 22 cents.  Another big help to our Top Gun winners was their ability to control Occupancy costs, keeping them below 6% while our general population was closer to 9%.
